Happy Thankful Thursday! We are so blessed to wake up each morning with the ability to make a difference in our lives. Healthy and Fit is a choice, a lifestyle. Here is a list of the long term benefits to living a healthier, physically active life:
  • Reduces the Risk of Stroke, Heart Disease, High Blood Pressure and Cancer
  • Controls Weight ~ Preventing Type II Diabetes
  • Improves Mood
  • Boosts Energy
  • Reduces Stress

Happy "Thankful Thursday"! It has been quite some time since my last Thankful Thursday post, my apologizes! Today I want to express how truly THANKFUL and BLESSED I am to have the CHOICE to live a Fit & Healthy lifestyle. As I always say, "Fitness & Health are a Lifestyle". The beauty of life is that each morning we wake, we have a choice! The choice to Give Up, Give In or Give it ALL you got when it comes to  making healthy choices in your daily life. I personally choose to set my alarm an hour earlier to make sure I get my workout in for the day. I set aside time to prepare healthy meals. I choose to pass up a night of drinking on the town. I choose to maintain a healthy diet, while enjoying my "Sweet Indulges" in moderation. I choose to be Fit, Toned & HAPPY! So remember, it is your personal to CHOICE to live a healthier lifestyle!

Quick Tip ~ Add Exercise to your Habits ~ It takes 21-30 days to adopt a new habit.

Get Fit Thankful Thursday ~ Will Power!

Happy "Thankful Thursday"! Will Power is something that comes from within us. Will Power is definitely something we can control when it comes to our eating habits as well as our dedication and motivation to fitness. As with everything in life, the key is moderation, especially when it comes to food intake. Having the Will Power to pass up that cupcake your co-worker brought to work or that Sunday Night pizza you ordered for the kids plays a KEY role in weight management and overall health. Will Power also plays a KEY role in NOT hitting the snooze button on the alarm in the morning and getting out of bed to get that morning workout in. I challenge you to record ALL your food intake and to log your physical activity for a week. You will be surprised at your accomplishments!

Happy "Thankful Thursday"! Goals are something we set out to reach on a daily, weekly, monthly and annually basis. Many times we find ourselves distracted from the end goal, only reaching half way or if none of our goal. DISCIPLINE is the bridge that connects the goals we set out to reach and turns them into accomplishments. In fitness and health, many of us decide to go on a new diet plan, workout plan, vow to omit "guilty pleasure" and the list goes on. Let's face it, life and desires get in the way. Having discipline can aid in reaching the accomplishments you want. At the end of the day having the discipline to implement a new habit with become rewarding. It is said it takes 21-30 days to adopt a new habit. So remember to stay focused, have discipline and once you reach your goals, it will all be worth it!

Happy "Thankful Thursday"! Today I am Thankful for the ability to BELIEVE that anything is possible! My philosophy in life is "If you Believe in it, you can Achieve it'! Believing in something applies to all aspects of life whether it be health, fitness, career, relationships, dreams or desires. Five years ago I believed I could start my own business, I did it. Recently, since fitness and health are a way of life for me, I believed I could start a blog to share my experiences, knowledge and passion with the ability to captivate an audience, I have. Happy "Thankful Thursday"! Today I want to share how Thankful I am to have HEALTHY ADDICTIONS like eating healthy, working out and enjoying life! Living an active and healthy life is very important to me so naturally I am addicted to anything fitness or health related. The gym is my drug of choice while fueling my body with foods high nutrients and protein is key to maintaining my very active lifestyle. Addiction is naturally view by society as a negative thing, however, if your addiction is living a healthy well balanced life through exercise and healthy eating, then I believe this is a GOOD thing. Regular physical exercise boosts the immune system, helps prevent heart and cardiovascular disease, reduces depression and stress, gives you energy, helps with self-esteem and maintaining healthy relationships. Life is full of choices so make the right choice! XO

Happy "Thankful Thursday"! For today's Thankful Thursday I would like to express how Thankful I am to have PASSION for fitness, health, my business and my relationships (friends, family, colleagues). Without passion we lack determination and strive. Passion is what fuels us to succeed and is also what keeps us going. Having passion helps in our overall health and happiness in life. If you love what you do and why you do it, there is no better feeling in the world. I wake up every morning excited to enjoy my first cup of coffee before I get my fitness routine in, followed by happiness and fulfillment in my passion for my career choice. For today's "Thankful Thursdays", I would like to express how incredibly Thankful I am to live in such an amazing city like San Diego! With the near perfect weather, San Diego provides us with a Fitness Wonderland full of outdoor activities for the enthusiasts and hobbyist. This morning I was able to meet a fellow gym owner and personal trainer for a "Walking Meeting" on the boardwalk. Perfect way to mix business and fitness! So go outside and enjoy this beautiful city we call home!

Sorry I have not added a "THANKFUL THURSDAY" post in the last few weeks! The Holiday Season can be a very busy time in our lives. It is definitely a time to reflect on the joy and love we have in our daily lives. Family and close friends are the best gifts we can ever ask for! So, today I am thankful for my health, a loving family, loyal friends and to own my own business doing what I love! ♥ Life is full of OPPORTUNITY.....live it to the fullest! You DESERVE IT! Just remember that every experience good or bad, happens for a reason, just be THANKFUL!
