Ladies.....Time to Get in Shape! Finally a Women's Self Defense Course that Tackles Empowerment, Physical & Mental Strength!

An unexpected violent encounter can happen to any women, at any give point of her day, and in any given location despite modern safety technology.  Unfortunately, violence against women is an epidemic that has existed throughout time. It's time to change that situation and empower women! 

Combat Athlete Training Systems (CATS) has teamed up with Coach Sean Wheeler, Founder of S.A.W. Systems and a 2nd Generation Bruce Lee Disciple, in creating the Women’s Awareness Self Protection (WASP) Program, one of the most comprehensive self defense programs designed for the modern woman. The main objective of the WASP Program is to teach women empowerment, increase self-confidence, and learn how to effectively defend themselves when faced with a threatening situation. The WASP Program is a unique course that incorporates the most functional and proven techniques to counter the most common attacks inflicted on women.  The WASP Program differs from any other self defense course out there today with its dynamic conditioning regimen to increase strength and power, not only to fight off attackers, but also to increase self-confidence and overall fitness well-being.

Coach Wheeler first conceived the WASP Program back in the late 1990s when a close, dear friend fell victim to a violent and brutal assault by the perpetrator the media and law enforcement labeled the “PB Rapist.” Coach Wheeler has spent the last 20 years perfecting the WASP Program from a basic self-defense course into a well-rounded program covering emotional, mental and physical well-being. The course provides women with the tools to assist them in everyday situations with preventative caution. The course incorporates many styles of Martial Art tactics like Jeet Kune Do, created by Bruce Lee and Danny Inosanto, covering basic striking (straight-line), the eye poke, small joint manipulation and breaking holds/grabs (also know as the “bear hug”).

In addition to the physical attributes, emotional and psychological aspects of keeping women safe are addressed throughout the course.

The first step in avoiding a threatening situation is to be AWARE of your situation and surroundings. The WASP Program teaches women how to apply the Psychology of Awareness using the 3 Ps:  Posture ~ Presence ~ Preservation.

Posture: Carrying oneself in a confident manner, have the proper training and being physically fit, not displaying a victim mentality.

Presence: Being observant of what is coming in real time.

Preservation: Self-protection techniques, keeping safe from harm and recognizing the cues that a situation is escalating.
